Have YOUR VOICE heard!
ALL of us CAN and NEED to play a role, individually and collectively, in raising awareness of community wide issues.
Domestic violence in all forms (physical, financial, emotional) is not unique to the Defence community, but we all know the transient nature of defence life adds unique and complex challenges for our community and those of us experiencing and needing to leave a domestic violence situation.
Why this issue?
We know domestic violence is not easy to talk about but we also know that 1 in 4 women has experienced intimate partner violence since the age of 15, and with over 80% of Defence Partners being female, it is important that we raise awareness of the increased vulnerabilities Defence Partners face when it comes to domestic violence.
So how can YOU help?
We engage with thousands of Defence Partners and families and while we do our best to speak your words in rooms and to people that need to hear it, sometimes it takes ALL of us to make an impact.
And that’s where you come in!
We’ve made it easier for you to join the conversation with this new resource that will allow you to add YOUR VOICE to current, ongoing and future Defence Partner & Family advocacy efforts.
Launching with this campaign raising awareness and advocating for greater support for Defence Partners and Families experiencing domestic violence.
Add YOUR VOICE in those 5 simple steps.
That’s it. Add your voice in those 5 simple steps!
